Colorado River Bridge at Hoover Dam

For this project, CTE staff performed a structural review of the form travelers supplied by NRS Asia. The review included the design drawings, calculations and operating procedures.

Colorado River Bridge at Hoover Dam between Arizona and Nevada

   •  Clear span of the finished concrete arch will be 1060ft (323m), over a 900ft (274m) deep gorge
   •  Arch ribs are cast separately, and later joined by steel bracing
   •  Arch halves are being built simultaneously to save time
   •  The closure pours will be done with the travelers, thus requiring no special formwork
